We’ve been working our keyboard-pounding fingers to the bone all year long, and now that the sun is finally starting to rear its bright and shiny face, we’re due some quality R&R time. Besides, our Vitamin D stores were getting dangerously low, so really, it’s crucial to our health that we hit the beach. Ideally, we would love to be hob-nobbing on the beach in Cannes right now with Brad and Angelina, but since that might be a tiny bit too much for our pocketbooks at the moment, we’ll gladly take a Washington beach complete with campfires, beach bikes and kite flying. There really is something just so wholesome and comforting about a beach vacay in the Pacific Northwest – plus you don’t have to worry about any Euro-trash topless sunbathers or endlessly crowded beaches where you can’t even throw a stick for your pup. So bring on Memorial Day weekend, s’mores, cozy beach cottages and please, oh please, plenty of sunshine! p.s.
